Characteristic

Ubuntu is easy to use. From an application perspective, for example, in addition to the standard system tools, the photo editing tools Shotwell, office suite LibreOffice, Internet browser Mozilla Firefox, Messenger Empathy, etc. are installed by default. Card games such as Sudoku and chess and puzzle games are also included. The current user interface is called Light based on purple. The logo font is the Ubuntu Font Family of British font production company Dalton Maag Ltd. From the first release to 9.10 (Karmic Koala), the font (Ubuntu-Title) created by Andy Fitzsimon was used, but from 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) the Ubuntu Font Family is used. 

Security

From a security point of view, especially for Linux beginners, login with root with full privileges is disabled by default and sudo is used. It also closes all ports by default. 

Development

Released every six months. It is relatively frequent as an OS. The release months are usually April and October. It is set to be about a month after the release of GNOME and two months after the release of X.org. This will allow you to ship the latest versions of GNOME and X. The Ubuntu Developer Summit (UDS) will be held before the development of the new version, and developers around the world will give a rough idea of ​​the features and points to be improved.

Development of Kona Linux started as a distribution that allows you to install WindOS (based on Debian 6.0 squeeze), which is a distribution for live booting, for use in a CD or USB for carrying around, on a HDD. In June 2015, the base distribution was changed from Debian to Ubuntu, and Kona Linux Ubuntu Edition (KLUE) was also added to the lineup. In January 2020, Kona Linux Pi (for Raspberry Pi) Kona Linux) was also added to the lineup.

Characteristic
